Nature is full of miracles and we can use it for the benefit of our health

At the beginning of this story there was definitely an egg. Our grandparents already knew that eggshells are an excellent source of natural calcium. This became the inspiration for a unique patent for the production of natural calcium from eggshells, which in the Slovak company BIOMIN, a. s., we have been producing for more than 30 years.
Inspired by nature
You will look in vain for added sugar or artificial colors in the composition of our BIOMIN products. They are all free of added sugar, lactose free, gluten free and the capsule of all nutritional products is vegan. Therefore, vitamins are intended for almost everyone, including people with food intolerances, diabetics or vegetarians.

Quality is crucial

At BIOMIN, we are proof that even in small Slovak companies, science and research can be done. In addition to interesting projects and clinical trials, we are also making progress in the production of nutritional supplements, which are now in great demand. Our biggest difference, on which we base ourselves in BIOMINA, is, apart from Slovak origin, quality. "You have my word that every product from our company contains what is declared on the packaging," says our CEO Dr. Juraj Vozár and the results of certified laboratories, in which we regularly inspect products, prove him right.

    Biomin a.s.
    We are a Slovak pharmaceutical company based in Cífer.
    Our history began in June 1990, when we founded a company focusing on the production of a drug as a biopreparation with a high calcium content, produced from eggshells.

    Over the course of two years, we built production and administrative premises and began production and distribution of our products in 1991.

    The people who started it

    The birth of our company is associated with the name of the veterinarian Karol Michálek (1.1.1922 - 1.1.1993), who worked in the district of Trnava in the years 1949 - 1993 and focused his professional activities on poultry breeding and diseases.
    And it was MVDr. Karol Michálek came up with the idea of how to use waste eggshells and was able to implement this idea thanks to close cooperation with the West Slovak poultry plants in Cífer.
    Using complex and unique technology, he was able to produce a unique product - natural calcium from eggshells.

    That's us

    We are the only producer of natural calcium from eggshells in Central Europe.
    We have a European and American patent for the production, pharmaceutical processing and use of eggshells. Also, the production technology is protected by several patents.
    Thanks to many years of experience, we know consumers, both domestic and foreign markets. You can find our products at home in Slovakia, but we also export them to the Czech Republic, Poland, the Netherlands, Austria and the Middle East. We are a member of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the GENAS Association.

  • Certificates

    The production technology in our company is protected by several patents.
    Calcium is produced by a special technology, in compliance with the conditions of Good Manufacturing Practice. This means that it is controlled at the entrance, during the production process, but also at the exit. We do not use any chemicals in the production.
    In the production of calcium, we use an innovative process in which we obtain micronized calcium from eggshells. Micronized calcium is ideal for the human body because its particles are small enough to get through the small intestine throughout the body. The calcium produced in this way is purely natural, without chemicals and auxiliaries.
